At times it is very lovely to have the female initiate the act. But majority of guys that I know are usually the ones that are trying to turn their woman on to get into the mood. Reality says that both should be free and comfortable enough with the other to try and get some pleasure and/or please their partners whenever the mood hits. Although not always going to be successful this is no reason to become any less romantic and/or less attractive for your partner.

Not ALL men are like that. Reciprocating works much better for couples. Sometimes I start, some others he does, and most of the time we both get it on. Works well for us.

If you really want to bring back the SPICE in your relationship then why not do what your BF wants, maybe there is a reason why he hadn´t touched you for a long time. Maybe your not making yourself beautiful anymore, or not dressing up sexy anymore. these are little factors that can steam up the libido of your BF.

Really, goddamn. I feel like its the other way around. My wife expects quite a bit before she's ready for action. It really should be somewhere in between but as relationships go on, it does usually go toward one person always geing the initiator.

I wear myself to exhaustion trying to find ways to romance my wife, as well as just plain turn her on.

I do confess that I once thought the way he does. This is because my wife always played the 'sex is for the guy and I'm only kind of interested' card all the time when we were younger. As we got older and she hit her mid thirties, like all women her appetite for sex increased. Once she made it clear to me that she wanted it too, I got off my duff and got busy.

So to answer your question, men think that way because women spend their first 35 years acting like they're just doing it for the guy and using that to their advantage. If you want him to start trying to please, you must shed your embarrassment and explain to him that you've hit midlife and you want some!

After you've begun to communicate that to him, rent the movie "Don Juan Demarco" starring Johnny Depp and Marlin Brando. Watch it with him and if that doesn't kindle his romantic spirit you're screwed, or not if you git my drift.

Good luck

Wow; 39 and you still type like a 16 year old.

Anyway, a man doesn't need much to get turned on. He wasn't turned on by you; you weren't turned on by him...what's the problem? Find someone who you WANT to make the first move on, and you'll be ok. If you really want him, it doesn't matter who makes the first move.

I have never heard that its the 'womans job' to turn on the man. It goes both ways...and its not a job. (Well I guess it can be ;) woot!) I agree with the previous answerer that said you are with the wrong man. You aren't into him and don't care if he leaves....why don't you end it?
