One daily.
If you feed them again later on in the day, they WILL go for the food as though they've not eaten for a while, but this is because they have a 3 second memory, therefore forgetting that they have already eaten.
Just make sure you give an amount that will feed all the fish in the tank, and that all the fish are feeding. If not, you could put those that aren't in a separate tank while you feed them ( i.e if they are small, and the larger fish are stealing the food) til after they have eaten, then put them back.

Goldfish should be fed no more than twice per day! Only feed what they will eat in 2 – 3 minutes and remove any uneaten food! Many, including myself, recommend feeding goldfish at the same time and in the same spot when offering food. I would also suggest using slow sinking pellets so that your goldfish don’t risk gulping air while going after flakes floating on top of the water. Sinking pellets also provide mid-tank feeding and encourages goldfish to scour the bottom of the tank for food. Bottom feeding is instinctive behaviour for goldfish and I am a proponent of encouraging this behaviour. You will need to vacuum the gravel at least twice per week if you use sinking food to prevent food from becoming rancid and fouling your water.

Hope this helps.

if u feed ur fish for enjoyment, i would feed twice a day. goldfish are known as the messiest fish for an aquarium. if you want them to thrive and stay healthy, feed them twice a day. i wouldnt feed how much they would eat under 2 min because its like saying how many hot dogs mr. kobyashi would eat under 2 min.

Feeding depends on temperature. In spring and summer, when it is warmer (18C to 25C), feed up to 4 times a day a few sinking pellets per fish each time. In winter, feed only once when temperature is between 10C to 17C). Under 10C, don't feed.
