No, they are just made up. The accounts from the 1800s were reallyjust those animals called manatees. They looked like women because of the seaweed that would get caught on their heads, plus they would hold their babies underwater. And their tail is what really made them seem like mermaids.

No...Think about it...How can our bodies function with the lower body as a fish tail? Mermaids are only in fairytales...

Strange creatures live at the bottom of the seas that we know nothing of. There are areas so vast as to cover the earth without us knowing it.
There could be creature living there from a long lost continent that never developed. Maybe from Atlanta's, only God knows the correct answers. Perhaps if we pray more, the answers will come to us.

I beleive that they are or were or will be, becuause i beleive that their is no limit to what can exist. Just because we can't prove it doesn't mean it's not true. Besides what fun would life be if we didn't have those things!!!
