when i say 'we' i mean everything that lives on earth. in my opinion i think it would be ignorant to think that theres no other life in the whole universe other than us.

Yes I think one day it will happen that we travel far enough to a similar galaxy like ours with a sun and a planet with oxygen to sustain life.

It is just a matter of time. We will never know in our lifetime but wouldn't it be great if we did?

Just random thoughts:

I read that what we see now in space is just a reflection of what was--because it is so far away by the time we travelled there it may have changed or it may be gone.

What if some life does exist and was travelling to us. Lets see then, based on the above theory, maybe sensing the birth of Jesus way back when they heading towards our planet, that would mean they could be arriving anytime now. Sorry couldn't resist that!

No. And Candy C is right. There are way more planets out there then grains of sand. Just look at all the galaxies and how many stars each of them contain. The distance between just two starts is amazing. Someday we will contact or be contacted by life forms that will be able to communicate with us, and this will change humanity, and show us that we are not what we think we are.

You say its ignorant to think we are the only life in the universe. I think its fictional to think otherwise until there is evidence and proof. I remain unconvinced. If there are other life forms, where are they then? Why have they not shown up? Did someone forget to post them their invitation? Or did rubbish Royal Mail fail in delivering it yet again? LOL I am still waiting for the little green men to appear, and until they do I shall carry on believing its a figment of an over enthusiastic imagination.

Is life the collection of organic material into a form? If so, then why do we refer to it as a state (alive - dead)? If life is a state of being then what is the substance that makes up this state? Is this substance contained or permeating everything? If contained, then where does it go when the form dies? If permeating everything then wouldn't it be everywhere in the universe?

The universe, at the best informed guess, is 156 BILLION light years across.
There are billions of stars in the Milky Way and trillions of galaxies. There has to belife elsewhere, even if its just bugs.
We might never find it but its there, or will be there in the future, or was in the past.
We arent alone.

Yes, and No. :-)))

We are All of the Life in the Universe, in fact in the greater realm that I refer to as the 'Omniverse', that enfolds the Universe and all other realms 'inside' itself.

Do we only manifest in the forms that we see here on planet Earth of the physical realm ?

No way Jose, we suffer under no such limitations, we are busy manifesting everything that we can possibly imagine, and a gazillion things that we can't imagine while we are still focused here in these monkey suits. :-)))

The whole universe is alive, anyone can know this if they look within themselves. They will see everything has the same source, trees, planets, even space.

Its very likely there is life elsewhere in the universe but the distances are going to be so vast that we'll never make contact.

There has to be life on other planets, even if it is just a basic organism like bacteria. It is very unlikely that we are the only life forms.
