I know it has something to do with Feminst and marxist, anyone know any other ones?

new criticism, reader-response, deconstruction (my fave), biographical, historical, new historical, psychological (fruedian & jungian), feminist & marxist.

it's basically how someone understand & explains a piece of literature, by working within the constructs of whatever theory you decide to use. each of the above theories has it's own set of assumptions & rules of what to look for & how to interept what you discover.

check out the book "Texts and Concepts" by Steven Lynn, it breaks down each theory in very simple terms.
