Poetic justice would be:
Fred Phelps being locked in a gay biker bar for a few weeks.
Loudmouthed larda$$ Republicans like Thrush Limbaugh and his Neocon mates Daniel Pipes and the rest of the warmongering clan could all do with a full blown no torture spared spell in Gitmo, or a tour of duty in Afghanistan as a grunt so they can see first hand the damage they've caused.
Hell a few weeks in prison cured one of our outspoken right wing pollies here in Australia, so it should work for the real dross in the States.

Don't lump Fred Phelps with Republicans. Fred Phelps is protesting at the funerals of servicemembers killed in Iraq and Kuwait, is that something a "pro-war neo-con" would do?

There are many Republicans who believe that protesters are unpatriotic, unAmerican and should leave the country. Having the guts to stand up and publicly state your position is one of the most patriotic things a person can do. That's WHY we have freedom of speech.
