Biologically, a TV is not made of cells. It is made of atoms of various metals.
However, atoms (mainly carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen, although metals can be involved) can be combined to make DNA, proteins, fats, and water, which are the main components of living cells.
Chromosomes are made of DNA.
I would suggest checking out a good biology book from the library. It will tell you all about the structure of cells.

Televisions are not made of cells.
However, both cells and televisions are made of atoms of various types, in differing proportions. All atoms were either made in the Big Bang (mainly hydrogen) or subsequently by fusion within a supernova - as Carl Sagan memorably said, "we are all star-stuff".
Chromosomes are just one part of a cell - they're the instructions on how to build the cell. They're not the major components, which are basically just fats and water.

I'm not sure what you mean by the cells that make up a tv, so I'm going to assume that you're new to secondary school.
Everything in the Universe (that's right, EVERYTHING) is made up of particles (particles are "bits" to be put simply). Atoms are the make up of what we can see, whether it's the television set, or your own body.
Atoms join together to make "molecules", which are groups of atoms, and they have certain 'chemical properties'. For example, water (like the clear stuff we drink) is a liquid made from 2 'hydrogen' atoms and an 'Oxygen' atom - known commonly as H20 (the '2' should be written smaller inbetween the bottom of the H and O, but I can't do that on yahoo answers ;)).
There are millions of molecules. Our bodies, including our cells are made from atoms (just like I said at the beginning, everything we see is made of atoms).
Atoms are made from smaller particles (Protons, Neutrons and Electrons). The protons and neutrons are in the middle (as shown in the picture I have given you the link to), and the electrons fly around the protons and neutrons. There are many differenly structure atoms - for example, Hydrogen has only one proton in the centre, and 1 electron flying around it. Whereas Oxygen has 8 protons and 8 neutrons in its centre, and 8 electrons flying around it. There are many different atoms. Each different atom is called an element - eg. Hydrogen is an element, Oxygen is an Element.
Hope this helps ;)

well man, cells of living things are live cells, they have chromosomes and they have mitochondrions which helps them to release energy just for living things to live. those of a tele are made of electrons and other nin living inside and if they combine they make an atom and this is how they multiply.
chromosomes are simply made of fibers which contains genetic make up of a living thing. when these fibres are more in a cell, it devides by the process of mitosis. this mainly happens in normal living cells but not those in your nuts. those in your nuts devide by a special process called meiosis and result into four cells with each equal chromosomes as that of a parent cell. they are very interesting things to study but i did it three years ago and i still cant remember everything. cheers

Chromosomes are packed DNA, but they are not the only thing that makes cells, the division or combination of them make cells.
