Coffee and sex: What's the psychology behind that?

I've taken a couple of silly online tests that ask if you like coffee. It probably doesn't mean anything but some people say there's some psychology behind those silly tests. So why are your feelings for coffee and sex supposed to be the same?


For the record I used to hate coffee before I tried some flavored kind, lol.

My favorite flavors of coffee I've tried our hazelnut, mocha/chocolate, English toffee, and some with vanilla. I simply can't stand regular black coffee (caf, or decaf) with milk and sugar, it's gross.

Coffee's effect on sex life can probably come as a result of the effects generally on the symptoms of irritability, agitation, disorientation, and anxiousness. Caffeine also increases motor sensory, keen perception of stimuli, and other effects (this is after two cups of coffee).

After that, caffeine is said to have the adverse effect that results in sluggish reaction time, insomnia, decreased cognition. Of course, these are all correlation's at best.

Mmmm. Interesting question. I haven't heard that one, but my guess is that caffeine thins the blood, increases brain activity, and raises the heart rate. I do know that for the best performance during exercise that they recommend caffeine before a workout. So I would say that the correlation is more coffee, more sex (or better sex or both).

Well I enjoy a good cup of coffee, and I also enjoy a good night of sex. Well coffee is a stimulant and seeing a naked woman is a stimulant, for me. I do get sleepy after I drink coffee, but not after sex, ummm, that's odd. Oh well, I like them both! =)
