As a concept for a trading group it's fine. This is what most people believed we were signing up-to when we originally joined. What we are actually now getting into is a de facto federal European state, where unelected bureaucrats in Brussels/Strasbourg will call the shots. Germany and it's poodle France have made it very clear they want and deserve to be in the top rank of states to ensure that things in Europe go the way they want. We should quit the EU asap. Norway is not in the EU but is a full member of the free trade area and has the highest standard of living in Europe, and their fisheries are the most productive not having been plundered by the rest of Europe.

Definitely NOT..... Most of the ills that affect this country can be traced to membership of the corrupt EU. Why should a federation of European countries tell me, as a British citizen, how my country and ultimately my life should be run? We have been at war with most of Europe over the centuries, they could not rule us then but are doing so now. What is all this crap about "improving trade"? We have traded with them for centuries without having to have a "treaty". It is they who dictate what our producers in agriculture, industry etc. can produce. Remember the "butter mountain" the "milk lakes"? We subsidise their farmers by leaving our fields fallow. Where have all our fish gone? The Spanish and French took them. They instigated an "open border" policy, where is everyone headed? The UK of course as we are the softest touch in Europe. Much of the legislation produced in Brussels is ignored by many members, yet we in the UK take everything as gospel. France is nationalistic, Germany is definitely nationalistic yet everything about the UK is being systematically eroded in the pursuit of multiculturism, why is this? Would "hooky" Hamza have gotten away with his disgusting behaviour in France or Germany? The easiest way to rule is to divide and conquer, the UK is definitely heading towards division, but we must not be conquered. Let us have our referendum, but I fear the vote would be rigged, just as I believe the last one was. Most of those who govern us are not doing it for the benefit of the people but for their own. Most failed or disgraced MPs end up as members of the EU parliament or as one of it's spokespersons, if that doesn't scream "jobs for the boys" then what does? Do you know what Neil and Glenys Kinnocks jobs are? Or any of the others, do you know how they represent the best interests of the UK whilst enjoying huge salaries paid for by us? I thought not. Get out, last one leaving turn off the light and shut the door.

Not, Not and not again, trade with Europe fair enough (it was called a common market), but do you want to be governed from outside of the UK?, just look at the financial aspects for a start how anyone believes that all these countries which have different views, priorities, and stages of development can act as one you must be barking......

It's a good idea, and there's need for more regional bodies, as this may help check criminal and terrorist activities. Unlike the UN, such bodies would probably be more focussed.
