This is difficult to answer because the normal definition is a woman who engages in sex for a profit, but, I believe, there are women who stay in relationships for security would meet that definition. There are also women who engage in sexual activities to better then self - sleeping with the boss etc. I don't think they None of these women would be considered prostitutes in my opinion.I would have to narrow the definition to someone who provides her body purely for her partners sexual pleasure on a one time or occasional basis only with the intention of receiving cash or some other form of mometary payment. This could also be expanded to include a long term commitment for the sole purpose of satisfying the partner' sexual desires in exchange for cash or some other from of monetary payment.

A person (male or female) who is willing to sell what should be a personal treasure for a mere consideration. I'm not writing of common sexual prostitution, I write of people who would betray their own honor for a lesser reward. Is that too wordy?
