We had a democrat in office from 92 to 2000.......the only major change in social programs that took place was clinton putting a limit on how long someone could be on welfare.....so if your waiting on a socialist society, the democrats arent going to get you one

I hope never.

Socialism does not create wealth, it only redistributes it. Take away the incentive of profit, no one will start new businesses, no one will hire you, and the government will crumble like the Soviet Union.

You really want to live in Cuba, or in Venezuela, where Hugo Chavez shuts down the voice of the opposition? No one accusses the conservatives of doing that.
