Not really although it is offered in UP diliman as one of their PE courses.

case in point: you will know that it is not really very popular because most would mispronounce it and read it the way we read "pilate" in the bible but with an S.

I live in Iloilo.
my wife has 2 pilates cds but never really does them.
No they're not really popular here. I mean, yes, everyone has heard about it, but pilates on a regular basis? not many do it

It is known, but not popular.

When it was "introduced", it was fashionable among the health buffs to go to Pilates sessions. Today, not one of my 6 friends who used to attend still go. Dead. Kaput.

I heard about it years ago from Ms. Plinky Recto, the sis of former Sen Ralph Recto. If my memory is right she had a commercial about it. Popular? I guess Taebo is more popular than this.
