Snow Derby- at the bowling alley in Tacoma, Washington. I went into labor with the first kid while playing that. It was the only thing we could afford as entertainment and we played for hours unless it TILTED.

Used to love to play pinball in this one bar that would give you a beer if you got so many points. I got good at pinball. (That was back in my drinky too much days.) Funny thing is, I can't play worth a damn now that I'm sober. I went to this great arcade with my nephews a year and a half ago - big ol' thing on the Oregon coast - and am looking forward to doing it again this summer. I love arcades, but we don't have one where I live now.

I remember playing a pinball that was like pool game. I was just to the point of winning a free game when they called me to bowl. It was at the local bowling alley and I was bowling anchor. Had to give up the game. Won the bowling game, lost the pinball game.

Growing up we played all different types of pinball machines. I loved those things and always wished I had one at home. We had an arcade when my daughter was small that I took her too and we'd play them there. I remember when the ball would almost go down, then bounce back up and you'd get another shot at it and extra pts. I've compared a lot of things in life to getting that 2nd chance. Thanks for the good memories.

Oh, so many but I recall few of the names. As a kid i mastered many of them to the point that I'd sell my bonus games to some other kid at a profit.
When they went digital, with all the ramps and muti-ball possibilties I kept up, and hold top five scores on the modern ones as well.
Have you ever seen the ones that consisted of only 25 holes( one return hole) that gave credits for lining up 3 or more of 5 balls on a grid of random of numbers?
You cashed in your credits there for hard currency. I recall a few times my father losing half his paycheck to those, but I mastered those as well, and it was a good source of income in my teen years. You had to bounce the ball around of these rubber pegs by "juking" it without tilting.

I played on a Mata Hari machine a lot. I also really enjoyed some of the first new-school pinball machines, like Comet, Cyclone, and Taxi.

I can't remember the names, but most of them had women with huge boobies on the pictures. A friend taught me how to score pretty high without tilting. He also taught me a few trick pool shots. I'm out of practice with both.

wild, you are ripping into a past I had forgotten about...
Jacksonville Florida, I think I was twelve - me and my brother played this machine for hours- kept getting free plays...something like speedway, and it had -I believe a corvette and a blond on the display/score board, whatever you call it.
