Neither one is a direct cause.

Arsonists caused some of them but they are not technicaly terrorists, just messed up people.

Global warming may have affected our current weather patterns or it may just be a natural cycle. At any rate, the weather did not CAUSE the fires.

I did see articles on Yahoo News blaming the intensity on global warming. It's too bad we have all this global warming, otherwise this would have been a small campfire; am I right, or am I right? I can't be wrong when I blame global warming!

Haven't you heard the latest? The fires were started by both global warming and terrorists and it's just as bad as Katrina.

High winds knocked down power lines, which ignited fires among extremely flameable bushes, which were not cut or burned down naturally because people live too close. Thus, building houses too close to the hillsides covered in flameable flora led to this fire.
