Describe the pattern and replace the incorrect number with the correct number. ( meaning there ois one number in the sequence that doesn't go along witht eh rest of the numbers)

1. 1,3,7,15,31,60,127,255

2. 1,4,9,16,24,36,49,64

3. 1,8,27,64,120,216,343

1+(2*1)=3
3+(2*2)=7
7+(2*4)=15
15+(2*8)=31
31+(2*16)=63................ odd one is 60
63+(2*32)=127
127+(2*64)=255

question no 2

1*1=1
2*2=4
3*3=9
4*4=16
5*5=25...............hence odd one out is 24
6*6=36
7*7=49
8*8=64

question no 3

1*1*1=1
2*2*2=8
3*3*3=27
4*4*4=64
5*5*5=125................odd one is 120
6*6*6=216
7*7*7=343

1) 1,3,7,15,31,63,127,255

you are doubling the number to add on

1+2+4+8+16+32+64 etc

working on others

2) 1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64

+3+5+7+9+11 all odd numbers rising to add on

and was stuck on 3 but raja has got it before me well done

1. 60 should be 63

2. 24 should be 25

3. 120 should be 125

1 - 60 should be 63 - double plus 1
2 - 9 should be 8 -
3 - hmmmmm ok im stuck

On #1. the space between digits doubles (2,4,8, 16) and so 60 should be 63

1. 1,3,7,15,31,60,127,255 , 511 ( this is 2n+1 and 60 should be 63)

2. 1,4,9,16,24,36,49,64 , 81 (this one is n^2 and 24 should be 25

3. 1,8,27,64,120,216,343, 512 (this one is n^3 and 120 should be 125)
