Thank you for the link. It is really a shame that more people do not take the time to read even one side of such an important issue before making a decision.

The parts about "shared responsibility" are what bother me the most. Socialism and collectivism are founded upon the principle of "shared or communal responsibility" as opposed to "individual responsibility".
This is socialism she's pushing. While I have no dislike of the concept of universal healthcare coverage, I do not accept some folks getting the free government ride, while the workers still have to fund their own through reduced salaries because their job is covering their healthcare through some group plan.
If Hillary, or anybody, wants to do some voucher-type system where everyone gets a voucher exchangeable for public healthcare(paid-in-full) or to defer some of the cost of private healthcare, then I'd have less of a problem.
But be on your guard, for whatever government can provide you, government can take away. If her plan passes, it won't be long before government says, "you're late on your taxes, your healthcare is cutoff" or "you need to quit smoking or we'll withold your healthcare."

It's better than what we have now. I was very sick & tried to make an appointment with MY doctor yesterday (Friday). I couldn't even get an emergency apt because he leaves at noon for the entire week-end & he was already booked. Of course, no other doctor will see me because as a "new" patient, I have to wait at least a month to get an apt. I was forced to go to a walk-in-clinic. WTF do I have health insurance for if my own doctor is too busy to see me & doesn't work evenings or week-ends?
Something's got to be done about our health care system.

I'm against mandatory medicine!
So,
My only problem is this clause:
Only half of recommended clinical preventive services are
provided to adults and less than half of adults had their doctors provide them advice
on weight, nutrition, or exercise.ii Only 38 percent of adults receive recommended
colorectal screening. Hypertension contributes to 35 percent of all heart disease and
dramatically increases the risk of stroke, yet only one in three people with this
condition know it, despite simple, proven screening tests. Along with guaranteeing
accessible insurance throughout the system, the American Health Choices Plan
requires coverage of preventive services that experts agree are proven and effective.
If this implies any sort of compulsion/coercion to to "Take advantage" of preventative measure, then the whole program must opposed. Other than that. I think it looks good.

Bill ran on a middle class tax cut and gave us the biggest tax hike in history.
All I see here is more promises that will never come about.
Find the constitutional authority for the government to be in the insurance business.
