I remember clearly that snow would built up against my car, I would get out and shovel, then it would build up again, I would get out and shovel, and eventually I made it home frozen.

I also remember that the underneath of a car I had wore through and exhaust started getting through. I guess lots of salt water had easily splashed up.

I don't need a car that is as high in the air as a truck. But are there nice cars that are higher than average?

It would help if I knew what kind you had... but most full size cars sit up fairly high... and you might look into some of the "cross-over SUV's" (they're actually station wagons and Hatchbacks) they should sit up pretty high...

if snow is a problem you might want to look into a truck after all... with 4 wheel drive of course.

Just buy a Jeep. You'll never have to worry about getting stuck again.
