There was another girl I am sure, kinda mixed race possibly, not sure, she was small and had some kinda blonde highlights in her hair.
Did I miss something - did they show when she left?

Her name was Sisi. Sorry, I don't know her ethnicity exactly but I believe she was Middle Eastern or mediterranean.
Basically, the producers found out that Sisi still had a conviction from before she had auditioned for the show. I think it was a few months before she had assaulted a McDonald's worker. She still had some community service left. The producers found out that she wasn't completely free from her conviction and I think paniced because she and Hope had just made it on to the live shows. Apparently it said in interviews that the police could've arrested her on live TV if they hadn't kicked her out when they did.
I think her exit was shown briefly, but it was pretty low key and swept under the carpet, if that makes sense.
It was a real shame because I loved Sisi. She had the most vibrant personality and brought so much fun to the group. I haven't liked Hope since she left. Now it just seems like any other girl band.
I actually missed the part of the episode where they revealed Sisi had left. It was the episode where the final cuts were taking place and the judges were revealing who the finalists for the live finals were. Sisi and Hope were chosen, but later her exit was briefly shown. Very sad, in my opinion.
However Sisi has been interviewed a lot since leaving and went on to reveal that she took some drugs whilst at X Factor boot camp. She also revealed that many other acts had been doing drugs too. The producers responded to this by stating they were pleased that Sisi had left when she did now and this sort of justified them kicking her out in a way.
Sisi has since revealed that she recently attempted suicide. She said in another interview that since leaving she felt that she'd lost everything and after watching an episode of The X Factor since she'd left it really got to her and she sunk into a depression and tried to overdose before her mother stopped her. She also urged fans to realise the pressure and heartbreak fame can do to a person.
