OKay.. Heres whats wrong with my home - built gaming computer.

The first motherboard I bought was D.O.A. and would not even make the lights of the case turn on. I got a replacement. This one, atleast turns my computer on and makes the lights and fans move BUT it will not send a signal to my monitor. The board has an onboard NVidia 6100 card that I tried, but I also tried my own working video card. Still No signal to my WORKING monitor. Heres a list of parts I KNOW work ...

RAM, Monitor, Vid Card, Power Supply, Monitor Cable

Someone told me I may need to flash the bios on my board by using a less powerful processor. I currently have an AM2 dual core on a compatible Jetway board with 1 Gig of RAM.

I need to know HOW to flash the bios with a different processor, if I even need to use a different processor, or ANY other suggestions of what my problem might be. There is no beeping sound, just FYI.

flashing bios wont solve this prob.

i take that your comp is showing a message " out of frequency message" or something like that depending upon company...LG monitors show message i wrote above.

you can probably solve the prob by checking the connection of Monitor and just push it firmly in and check the monitor to cpu connection and tighten it firmly..........

and then check to see if it is working....
if not then you need to repair ur monitor...nothing wrong with bios.......coz nowadays most of the hardware is plug and play and they all have support in bios...........

Hi. Before flashing (which is risky) I would reset the BIOS. Remove the battery and move the reset jumper over one position for a few seconds then move the jumper back and reinsert the battery. Almost no risk and, as pointed out above, the BIOS default should work.

Close to impossible to do that. without being able to see you wouldnt be able to follow any onscreen prompts or answer any requests...

Im not sure if flashing the bios is what you need in this case but if you really want to do it...I would try to find as much documentaion about the flash process as possible so that you can flash it with out having to see.....
