It doesn't really seem extreme. It's not wrong at all either. I'd be pissed at the media! Their speculation on the case is just that, complete speculation and it could ultimately destroy it. The media needs to be a lot more careful about the so called "facts" they release. The whole case has been turned into a circus due to the media in Thailand, which has spilled into our own system. I think it's really sad that this case isn't being taken seriously. Let the justice system decide if this guy did it or not. It's not up to the media or the general public. If it were my daughter, I'd want every thing done by the book. I would be devastated if it were a nation wide "media movie".

As busy as I am, I don't have time to sit down with a newspaper - I wish I could though.

So the majority of my news sources comes from CNN Headline News (TV) and some from internet with some from coworkers.

This usually works out pretty well.

Every day:

Read the NY Times (paper)
On Line, review:
Boston Globe
Washington Post
LA Times
Listen to NPR for 1 or 2 hours typically, particularly "On Point".

The internet primarily. Television news is sensationalized trash saturated with commercials and traffic reports. As far as radio is concerned, most of the time "late-breaking news" is really not that important.

Drudge report, CNN, BBC are good sources for on-line, and world news.

TV, radio, and Internet! I get our local newspaper on the net! But, truthfully...I hate the news! It is never anything good and it always depresses me!
