Are the anti war crowd or pro impeachement people ever going to go to the GOP?

Does America need more credible parties to keep the two big ones under pressure? There is absolutely no incentive for them to preform

Political goodwill. If the Dems impeach Bush for lying us into the war and subverting the Constitution in the name of "security," we could possibly regain the respect of the rest of the world and the goodwill he squandered.

I'm sure there are people on both sides of the aisle who are very unhappy at the way the war has gone and the loss of life. And I'm sure there are a few California Republicans who must see that if the National Guard and much of the equipment wasn't in Iraq, they might have had an easier time fighting that wildfire. And I'm sure some Louisiana Republicans feel the same way when it comes to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Yes, we do need viable other parties to give a big old kick in the pants to both the Democrats and Republicans. Lots of luck, though.

The democrats stance on the war is a political tool to gain votes. Most of their support comes from anti-war protesters. People believe that the Democrats will withdrawal the troops from Iraq and soon after completely end the war. At this point, the constant flip flopping from the Democratic party has me scratching my head. I believe they have the intentions of ending the war but not as soon as they are promising.
As for GWB impeachment, he hasn't really committed any impeachable offenses(that can be proven)

What do you mean by asking if they are going to go to the GOP? Do you mean go to them and ask for their support as well?

I don't believe that the pro-impeachment people = the Democratic Party, although I also don't believe that many people are happy with the President these days. As for the "anti-war" crowd, their massive numbers (of which I'll say I'm one) fall on both sides of the political fence, Democratic and Republican, and also spill out into many of the independent parties.

There is political gain to be made within their party.

You are correct that these groups would never support a GOP candidate, however Democrats have to win their primaries first.

Essentially, which ever candidate can lean the furthest left will gain the support of these groups.

However, to have success nationally, they must then perform the trick of making mainstream America forget the rhetoric they pushed in the primaries, and somehow appear more moderate.

It didn't work in 2004, but the outcome in 2008 is yet to be seen. Will America believe Hillary when she tells them she is a moderate?

I am a Republican and I am disapointed with President George W. Bush not because of the war. It is fine to criticize the war, but I draw the line when the opposition to the war's rhetoric ends up a propoganda for the enemy.

What the Dems have to gain from ending the war, is the unending financial support from George Soros, Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, and other America haters..

Not sure exactly what the Democrats would gain politically, but by ending the war, the American people would gain our young men and women back to our own shores, and we would start to gain the respect back from the rest of the world. As to what we would gain by having Bush impeached, we would gain some sanity in our government, and it would bring to an end all the damage he's done to our country since he's been in office. I'd say that's a win-win situation for all of us.

What a comic tale you assert the anti-conflict freaks communicate for most human beings. If that were genuine you've gotten protests on a daily basis. once you liberal traitors attempt to have a protest so few human beings take position that it makes you all seem stupid and shows the international how few of you freaks there are.

They have not the votes to impeach Bush so they have no choice but to try and stop the war.
