I gotta admit it now, I just can't resist peeling the skin off an onion and eating it raw, but I would be really grateful if you could tell me are there actually any benefits from doing so?

Eating onions are good for you. With all the products out for the mouth what would be the problem lol. They help you to breathe easier and back in the old days they even used them for fevers!

Onions are a good source of fiber and vitamin C. Plus they might inhibit tumor growth.

Onions are undoubtedly good for you. Providing you don't eat them to the exclusion of another important food, there shouldn't be a problem.

It seems like i heard that onions are really good for your heart, but maybe not. someone may have just been trying to convince me to eat more onions. I HATE THEM!!!!

If you have chrons disease or ulcerative colitis then raw onions are really good for you, but so are peppers, garlic and carrots.

I know that onions and garlic are good for your blood and for your fat count but i dont know for sure why, besides it makes your sweat smell funny.

It will keep away many parasites by killing your red blood cells (blood thinning). Too many can cause anemia for the same reason.
