Why is it that we look forward to the future, yet as it becomes the present, it becomes as dull as the past?

We are mostly all basically optimists, so we assume that the future is bright. There are also a lot of people that look at the future and see destruction and death. Life is what you make of it. It can seem empty when there is nothing in it. It also can look empty when in reality it is full of love and power and excitement. Sometimes it is the anticipation is not as good as reality. Sometimes it is the acceptance on a life that is empty instead of actively changing it. Go out an do something. The quickest way to bring hope and fulfillment in your life is to help others. No matter how down you are and how bad you have it in life, you can find someone that needs your help. And what power that gives you. Please try it.

Life is not empty, your present life is just not what you want it to be. Your future looks bright, because that is where you choose to live. You have to live now, set goals for the future and work toward them. Life is full. Sure, sometimes it seems to be a "so now what" life, but move past it.
Yesterday, I left work and turned the air conditioner on. It was a little warm here. (SoCal) It kept blowing air that was not any cooler. I thought, 'what is this going to cost to fix.' I shut it off and then thought, oh did put the heat on in the morning? I had, reached over, turned down the heat, and the air worked just fine. A little action can go a long way to making life full.

Human perception is a lense that can get dirty with strange ideas, scratched with abuse, and broken with one bad instance of emotional pain. Life is never empty as a whole concept. Maybe the segment that you own, is lacking.
