TRUE FRIENDS EXIST AND AS SOMEONE HAS ALREADY SAID ARE HARD TO COME BY. ONCE YOU HAVE A TRUE FRIEND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND JUST HOW RARE AND VALUABLE THEY ARE. WHEN EVERYONE ELSE FAILS YOU WHOMEVER IS LEFT IS YOUR TRUE FRIEND. SEEK THEM OUT AND ONCE YOU HAVE FOUND THEM NEVER LET THEM GO.

I do not think that this is something that can be answered honestly. It depends on what you consider to be a true friend. If it means someone never lying to you or betraying you, then no, true friendship does not exist. You find the quality of a good friendship in being able to forgive someone completely who has lied or betrayed you. I believe that most people are always looking out for number one (themself) in the long run, and sacrificing a friendship sometimes happens in order to do that. Although, I am a bit of a pessimist ;o)

I dont trust friends at ALL. there is always bound to be some kind of envy or disagreement. The reason I dont have gf's is the back stabbing like stealing bf's or talking behind your back. I dont have male friends because it's bound to turn physical one day...which I hate. I do have several aquaintances which I party with here and there but are not involved in my life. Fortunately I have a large family where my 8 sisters are my best friends and my 3 brothers are the ones I trust with other stuff. But friends dont exist.

Well if you go by the bible they don't! Peter who is said to hold the keys of the gate to heaven denied Christ 3 times,
and everyone knows what Judas did and the rest all went and hid when the soldiers came, so if they were to be the next saints they sure weren't the best of friends to Jesus.
Saying that I don't think any normal run of the mill person can actually be what the word "friend" defines!

When you're a kid friends are a dime a dozen but when you become an adult friends end up becoming acquaintances that you rarely ever see anymore. True friends do exist and in the end they usually end up being family members.

It depends upon how selective you are in the process of making them. A true friend will be there when you hit rock bottom. A fair weather friend is someone who only comes around when it is to their advantage. I have one true friend outside of my family, they do exist, they are just hard to come by. ;-)

Im 21 and i dont believe they exist. we need friends( people tp spend time with) when we r kids, teenagers, and then we have family to spend more time with. At this moment many friends get angry cuz they were with u when u needed them and now dont. but its reality of life. we sure need friends but they r just people that u spend time with and help once in a while. The best friends r in your family( usually) cuz they r your blood. They love u cuz u r their blood:), not cuz u did something good for them. Also, best girlfriends r often the ones who put a knife i your back cuz they know all your secrets. Everyone fights for his/her own family, and thats how it should be:)

Can any human being be absolutely true all the time? I don't think so; we are an inherently selfish species. I don't trust the 'friends forever', 'always there for me', 'soul mates routine' I cant promise that to anyone and I shouldn't expect it either. Nevertheless I have good friends and family in whose love I am held and my life is blessed.

Depends on ur definition of true friend. Honesty and respect are usually on top of the criteria of a solid relationship. Common experiences, difficult times together, stuff like that will build true bonds.

True friends who always there for you when you do or don't need them and help you in times when you were in trouble and comfort or helping you to cheer-up when you have your problems....That's what true friends are....
so, I believed they really exist and its not that hard to find to have a true friend....
