I think that we are seeing a possible 3rd party coming soon. When you start to see Republicans going after other Republicans, I think you have to take notice.
Facts and data are no longer required. People can say whatever they want, and don't have to back it up with any kind of verifiable information. And, the American public eats it up for the most part. We watch our "news" people interview politicians...ask questions that are never answered, twist things around and even flat out lie and nobody calls them on it. Every once in a while, Tim Russert will say "wait, didn't you say this?", but even he's not reliable for digging all the way to the truth.
The Republican party is in trouble, and they are going back to what worked for them...call people names, go after anyone who disagrees...it really shows a lack of intellect, I think. But, they get away with it many times, so I guess maybe the truth just doesn't matter.

Far too many republicans visualize things in terms of war, battles, and attacks. Complex issues are greatly simplified when viewed in these polarized terms. This usually ends up with some sort of a plan to solve a problem that is only loosely based on the real world situation that was boxed up by a war-like mind.

I am a Republican, but I don't attack people because they are not. My parents are still Democrats, and so is my oldest sister.
Just because people do not have to same political views does not mean they can not get along.
I avoid radicals on either side of the political spectrum, whether they are rabid Republican or rabid Democrat.

No, not all Republicans are crazy religious fundamentalists hell bent on converting the world to an extreme version of Christianity.
Most Republicans are good natured people who just agree to disagree with Democrats...just a difference in opinions.

No, only those with enough courage to stand for their convictions when those come into conflict with Republican ideology.
Guess the congressional leadership have no worries about that. More's the pity.

Yeah it's part of our secret initiation ritual. We also must sacrifice the first born child of a democrat. Where do you come up with such lame questions? And you wonder why we make fun of you.

Yes, they will continue to attack you until you convert to thier way of thinking and living.
Or is that the radical Islamists? I always get those two groups confused.

Well, they might. However, a republican will send you to war for no good reason.
