However I have a friend that hates it! he feels degrated when people open the door for him like he can't do it himself. We used to work in this big fancy building where there actually was people and their job was to open the door for us and he would purposouly go through the janitors entrance of the building and go around the back way just so he didn't have to have the door opened for him everyday. no kidding.

I do, especially for women.
I get a LOT of started faces when I hold doors, though.
One woman said to me "what planet are YOU from?"
Remember how BOND held the door open for the housekeeper in the Bahamas in Casino Royale?. That is how I open doors.

Always.........but the other day I was right behind a lady and she opened the door a little and didnt hold it and when I got in the skywalk I walked in front of her and went through a door and it slammed on her.
She huffed all mad and I laughed.

Of course I do! Why wouldn't I? It's just a courteous thing to do. It's a lovely thing when others do that for you. Have you notice that everyone smiles then? So we've put a little more good Karma in the universe that way!

I do.
i open and close the door of my car for my girlfriend whenever she gets in/out of the car.
i always remember that saying "ladies first" when i'm with my girl. ;)
