There was once a book i read about creatures that took the form of your shadows and they protected you. It was in a fantasy book because there was a kingdom with different classes and levels in their "society". It might be a couple books i can't remember. Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

Thanx but it doesn't look like either of those are the ones i'm looking for. I couldn't find a book called "you're spirit guide" though

There is a book by Charles Delint that the "gods" of the old world were brought to the new world.. but as people abandoned them they became shadow creatures.. I think it was called Forests of the Heart..
