Well...if she asks for your opinion I would be honest with her and say that you feel uncomfortable with her getting a tattoo.
Maybe compromise - if she gets a small tattoo somewhere that no one can see, would that be OK?
I considered getting a tattoo in college but didn't quite summon the courage. Now that I'm 29 and married, I know my husband would not like it if I got one. But with me, I've gotten to the point where I don't want one so it worked out.
Just be honest, not mean, just honest.

BE HONEST. That is all you can do. Find out exactly why she wants one. Make sure she is doing it for herself (sorry but what you think doesn't matter). Just talk about all of the pros and cons with her and make sure it is something that she will be able to look at in 20 years and still be proud of. What you can hope for is going to the tattoo parlor with her and make sure that she is picking the right place, tattoo, that the artist is trained, courteous and uses clean equipment, and just simply make it something that you do together.

Is you all's decision? Me? Nope. I think tattoos are disgusting and a huge turn-off, but that's me. To everyone, his/her own. One piece of advice though when deciding what to get and where to place it. One day your wife will be old and the tattoo will likely be stretched and distorted. Also, she may have to explain it, one day, to you grand children. So wherever it is places, I suggest you keep it discrete, so it'll stay just between the two of you....for all your days.

It's her decision, but she needs to be absolutely certain she wants it. They don't go away without expensive, painful surgery.
That said, I have 3, and I don't regret any of them. I love mine. The oldest is about 9 years old, the newest is about 6 months old. I will probably get more eventually.

Good. Naturally this should be 'tit' for 'tat". Of course I don't mean that literally but bargain. Get something in return. Nothing extravagant or outlandish but if she wants a tattoo then get a new drill or something.

Tell her that--communicate before she puts something on her body she "Assumed" you would want. I personally thing tatttoo's need to be very small on a "lady" & in a discreet place to look nice. But again that's only my opinion.

My ex husband got his divorce and I got a tattoo. Best thing I ever had done. Tattoo's are not taboo any more, they are very stylish.

It'a all good .. until gravity grabs it, old age wrikles it, and time fades it .....I can tell you one day it will look like a colored bruise covered in a sea of wrinkled skin.
I can't imagine anything I want pictured that badly ........ But ... what the hey !

If you do not like it, then tell her your feelings too! Just hope that she is not getting this tattoo for someone else :)
