who is with me on this? I just read a post of who is the better GM - Cashman or Epstein. I said Shapiro because he has to be creative. He will be counting his blessings if he can lock up Sabathia. Shapiro being told to get Beckett AND Ramirez would be absolutely unheard of so I think Shapiro has done a great job. Comments?

Believe it or not, Dowd was the Cleveland GM in 1995. Shapiro learned under Dowd.

He should be. Shapiro did a nice job this year. If he can get CC, watch out.

I think it has to go to Dan O'Dowd. He's done an amazing job of building through the draft, and has created a team that not only got to the Series this season but should prove strong for many years.

Shapiro did a good job, but I'd give DOD the nod.
