I was in a halloween costume store the other day and was horrified that so many of the costumes for girls / woman looked like something a stripper would wear on stage.
Why is that?

beacause! "halloween is the one time of year where girls can dress like total sluts and no one can say anything about it!"
. That kid costume is not slutty! its cute. No one's gonna be like oh that kids gonna become a stripper because of her costume. Its halloween lighten up. I understand the kid thing, but teengaers and women want to look sexy, kills us for it already! geez.
You must be gay, if you dont want to see hot girls in sexy costumes.

Unfortunately sex sells and because of this it is up to us as parents not to allow our children to wear things like that, even though a lot of parents allow it. I would never let my daughter wear that...not even if she wasn't going out in public. It is amazing that the people that make these costumes can't get in to trouble, because in my opinion it is totally wrong!!

no idea...that's why I have always made my own costumes. Been doing that since I was a little kid. I can be as creative as I want, and don't need some "canned" halloween thing.

I think they're cute. Most of them have just like short skirts. But I wouldn't wear the ones where you're half naked. I'd let my daughter wear those but there's a line she can't cross.
