g(x) = 3x – 3

With the domain of [–2, 4], substitute these values in for the function. Since g(x) is strictly increasing, the range is simply [g(–2), g(4)] = [–9, 9]. That is, the domain {x | –2 ≤ x ≤ 4} corresponds to the range {g(x) | –9 ≤ g(x) ≤ 9}.
