Step by step this is how you do it.

sinq/cosq + cosq/sinq

sin²q/(sinqcosq) + cos²q/(sinqcosq)

(sin²q + cos²q)/(sinqcosq)

1/(sinqcosq)

2/(2sinqcosq)

2/sin2q

½csc2q

So

sinq/cosq+cosq/sinq = ½csc2q
