to those of you who had it already, (not when you had it right after you were born), how is the procedure like? do you have to be erect during the surgery? or do they just put you to sleep ?

Please reconsider!

I'm intact, but here is what a 20-year-old man who had it done said here on Answers: "it definatly makes sex pretty lousy. I consider myself blessed however. Unlike most American men, I at least got to have good sex a few times....oh and by the way, iv never had a single problem. NOT ONE which if you do your research, is the case for 99% of men. God I cant believe I was so stupid.... it ruined sex for me "

lol. you dont have to be erect. i had mine done when i was 16 at my own request. my parents dont know about it until this day.

anyway, they put you to sleep, you wont feel anything. when you wake up, your penis will be in a whole bunch of bandages. they tell you not to remove it for 24 hour. try not get erect as much as possible, because you will have stitches around your glans, or head. it's no a big deal. i went to work the very first day, you just wont be able to wear anything tight.

upon discharge, they will ask for someone to come pick you up and to sign the discharge papers, but, as soon as your sleeping gas wears off and you wake up, yo can just walk right out as soon as you feel like. that's what i did, and walked home. you could shave or trim to make it easier for the doctor, or he'll do it for you. plus that way no hairs will get tangled up in the sitches or bandages. no big deal. good luck.

WOW.. Your going to hate that, First, its EXTREAMLY PAINFULL for a month or so after, Second, your going to lose about 70% of the sensitivity of the glans(head) which is what makes sex so great. Third, if they botch it, even a little, you may end up imoptent, or at very least, deformed, Forth, If you get an infection (fairly common from this) you could end up haveing to have your penis amputated. Is all this really worth it, just so you look like your buddies???

I had mine at christmas, and im 19 years old.

At first the surgery is okay, you have to pee before you leave hospital. But after that you will find it sensetive to walk. But it doesnt hurt very much.

After about 2 weeks it will get easier and easier. they will tell you to rest and drink water. They will also give you tablets (they did for me anyway)

they put me asleep during the operation, its very quick too.

You can then have sexual activitie after 6 weeks. But i couldnt for 5 months ( cos i have a extremly slow heal rate. )

Good luck with your operation. It will be fine, And if your as lucky as i was.. who had a female nurse every 5 seconds looking at me. then good luck ^^ - Donna - awww such a sweet name for a nurse =p

Cancel that appointment. Don't mutilate yourself.
If you're not aware that you WILL NOT be erect when they cut off your foreskin, you're probably not informed well enough to have this done to your most precious possession.
Don't do it.
