Most likely there is a problem with the monitor itself. I have had monitors over the years that developed all sorts of problems. Some for example only displayed everything in pink or green because they lost the ability to keep a neutral color. Monitors just go bad out of the blue, sorry for the pun there:), just like hard drives, there is a % error in monitors that just happens due to production or usage.Usually this can be repaired but it costs more than a new monitor is worth. I would suggest if the computer is out of warranty to go to the local store and pickup a low end flat panel such which sell for $130-175$. If you still have a warranty on your monitor talk to the company on their 1800 number and see if they can offer you a solution. If they ask you to send it in and you pay postage its a bad deal as postage on a monitor is spendy.
