It is amazing after all these years that supposedly bright people still view Darwinian evolution as fact.

Fact: Micro evolution is proven. This is a small change within a species that allow it to survive. For instance, longer necked giraffes would survive better in a food poor environment, because they could reach higher. Therefore, the next generation of giraffes would likely have longer necks. This is demonstrated many times in nature.

Not a fact: Macro evolution has NEVER been proven, not even close. Macro evolution is the creation of one species from another, supposedly over billions of years, by tiny evolutionary steps. The "billions of years" is used by so-called scientists because it is the only way you could possibly support this theory, by throwing vast amounts of unobservable time at it.

Darwin himself said that if a structure existed which could not be developed over time by these tiny little step changes, then his theory (as he called it) would be necessarily discarded. Many such structures exist, such as the eye, which are, in scientific terms, "irreducibly complex", that is, could not have gradually developed.

Sadly, in an effort to avoid the issue of a Creator God, so called scientists avoid real scientific technique, like observation and proof, in favor of speculation and rhetoric. Sadder still is that such tripe is taught as truth and fact and science, when all it really is, in reality, is FAITH and DOGMA!

Isn't that ironic?

It is the best explanation for a lot of things seen starting with the differences in the molecules that make up different organisms to the existence of different species, that we have. It has turned out that the theory as laid out by Darwin is only correct in the broadest sense. Many of the specifics have been shown to be wrong,n and as new knowledge emerges, the specifics will continue to be refined. No real scientist accepts ANYTHING as being true. Its a theory. Having said that, the best argument that anyone has ever presented against the theory, including the supporters of "intelligent design" (an oxymoron) is that they don't "like" it. There are no solid scientific arguments against the idea that mutation and selection/drift are responsible for the variety that exists at all levels in the living world. I would add that if you think that means that a "creator" had nothing to do with it, it simply means you have limited imagination, or prefer to accept specific interpretations of Genesis that read more into the words than is there.

First off Darwin"s evolution is not the evolution we are familiar with. Well, those of us that are. Darwin was the first to publish his observations and theories. However, he was not the first to have the ideas and to discuss, evolutionary idea. They had actually been around for maybe 100 years prior to Darwin's publication. You knows maybe longer. There have been several updates since then. Add to that the overwhelming knowledge coming from genetic research and yes, evolution is fact. Note, I wrote, evolution.

Spelled properly it is, Darwinian.

It's the best one around. There are some problems that I have with it, but not as many as with intellegent design or whatever it is called today.

As for "believing" it, "belief" is another matter. We believe things without some material evidence.

---Yes! some ancient animals for example Archiopteris reveal the evolution theory!

Evolution is true.

Just, Darwin had not all knowledge, DNA wasn't known still 1953 .

and you have not to "believe" in evolution. Science is not a question of belief.
