they said my cervix is 50% but i havent dialted im 39 weeks..wed i went to the docters and my cervix was only 30% and since yesterday its gone to 50%
what are my chances of having my baby on her due date in a week?

You never know for sure. At least things are progressing and still changing. I was dialated to a 3 and 80% effaced for nearly 4 weeks before being induced. Your doc probably won't let you go past 42 weeks so 3 weeks or less! Congrats and good luck!!

Women are efaced and 2 cm dialted and can go weeks before going into labor. A due date is just an estimate. My 2 children were born by being induced. The doctor made me wait 10 days after due date and with my son 7 days late and induced. I remember when being induced with my 1st, I went in the night before and they put a cream in my uterus to thin out the cervix. In the morning, I was 100%. Then, they started me on patosin (spelling?) to bring on contractions. That took forever (10 hours) before I delivered my daughter.

theres no telling --sorry -i was 90% and at a 1 for 3 days then ibnduced and went to a 9 in 2 hrs. it carzy and predictable I hope the best for you and congrats!!

if you are fifty percent effaced but not dilated at all, if this is your first, your baby will likely be late.
