Do you think that fashion sources influence our perception of beauty? I often hear it on TV/magazines people blame eating disorders on fashion industry- that it puts up unattainable standards. Do you think these ppl just want to blame fashion industry because they do not want to recognize their own responsibilities? Or does fashion industry/TV/magazines influence both mans and womens perception of what beauty is and should look like and as a result we suffer in attempt to achieve an unattainable beauty standard?

I have no doubt that the fashion industry and the media affect us all in one way or another. Whether or not we realize that manipulation is our responsibility, but the manipulation is definitely there.
