If you pow wow, what are you, and what do you ALWAYS bring with you?

I like Black Lodge singers, Northern Cree and Eyabay. The best one i like is going to the Pit at UNM.....the Gathering of Nations. There you don't need your own lawn chairs, but it is elbow to elbow and cheek to cheek. Other that that, it depends on if you're camping out or not.

Pow wows have been totally corrupted and perverted from their original purposes since Europeans/Whites meddled with them.
Pow wows used to be for building warriors and reinforcing ties within the nation and with other nations.
Today, they have become spineless displayes of commercialism and phony shamans telling Whites whatever they want to hear.
The warrior society has totally been crushed. But slaves will always be allowed to dance on the plantation, so long as the slaves do not upset the plantation system.

recently attended a POW WOW of a small group of Indians at the local park here during their festival. They asked that what was discussed be kept confidential and we agreed.

I go to them, although I am Irish American, my hubby is Native American. We bring fry bread, beans and corn, seal oil, berry ice cream and alloducks. we have a great time!
