THIS IS MY FIRST BABY SO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT OR EVEN LOOK FOR. LATELY SHE HAS BEEN KICKING AND MOVING ALOT AND MY LOWER BACK HAS BEEN CRAMPING OFF AND ON. I AM FEELING CRAMPS SIMILAR TO THOSE WHEN I'M ABOUT TO START MY PERIOD AND I HAVE THE FEELING LIKE I NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM (#2) BUT NOTHING COMES. SOMETIMES IT ALSO FEELS AS IF SHE IS SITTING RIGHT ON TOP OF MY CERVIX AND THE ONLY WAY I CAN DESCRIBE THE FEELING IS THAT IT FEELS LIKE SHE IS GOING TO LIKE FALL OUT. LIKE I SAID THIS IS MY FIRST BABY SO WHATEVER ADVICE OR TIPS ANY OF YOU HAVE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE!!! :)

the pain in my lower back is maybe about every other hour or so, it hurt so bad last night that i couldn't even sit up, i wasn't sure what it was, i just know it felt like i needed to have my lower back cracked you know?

BTW like i said before i do not know what to look for, but should i be watching for my water to break or what? because earlier this morning i sneezed and it felt like i expelled something vaginally, like water discharge..... i dont know if that sounds right lol, but thats how it felt

your body is getting ready for the baby to come, sounds like she/he may be dropping down lower and you may be thinning out...dont worry your baby will be here before you know it.

I have a 2 year old boy and a 5 month baby girl ! Both labor where different, with my son i never had any contractions ever and i had an epideral so i never felt anything. With my daughter i hurt just like you are and was always afraid of having her early. The cramping i had was very bad pains that i couldn't even talk between, if that happens take a bath and see if it helps. If not go see your doctor b/c your probably in labor. I ALWAYS ASK how will i know when i'm having the real contractions??? You will know trust me...

If I was you I would call your doctor or head on to the hospital. I know everyone says you'll know when your in labor and the cramps will be really bad. But when I had my daughter I had light cramps like I was going to start my period and I had back pain but non of it was really bad. Well I went to the hospital just to be safe and sure enough I was in Labor! Go with what your bodies telling you. Plus if you go to the hospital and your not ready yet they'll just send you on your way. Congrats!!!

You're moving right along, this part is called prelabor, or the first part of labor.

The feeling like you need to poop, and the period like feeling is your cervix changing and her moving in to the birth canal.

It sounds like you have some back labor going on too. Thats also normal for where you are.

If all keeps up like it is you'll be ready for labor right on time. Theres no way of knowing when, but you're progressing just as you should be.

It sounds like early labor. My back killed me on and off for a few hours, then it got to the point that I couldn't sit or lay down. I didn't realize it was labor at first. I told my mom, and she said it sounded like I was having back labor (which was not pleasant!) A few hours later, my water broke (and I definitely knew when it broke) The only place I was comfortable was in the bathtub.

If you start cramping real bad, call your doc. I've never had contractions so I dont know what they feel like, but the docs will tell you how to time the contractions. I do know that if you feel like you have to go #2 & you can't, dont strain. This can be hard on the baby.

call your doctor or local L&D this to me sounds like early labor. the feeling of her going to "fall out" is more then likely pressure as i can not promis you are in labor or anything just what i think. good luck

sprinkles some good luck dust for you

start timing your "cramping" if its regular then just keep monitoring it till its about 3-5 mins apart then go into the hospital just in case. or go for a long walk to try and get things moving more just in case. GOOD LUCK

I went to the hospital at least 3 different times when I thought I was in labor, and I wasn't. The best way I know to describe it to you is that I thought I was having heartburn.... My husband had to convince me that I was in labor. It felt like gas pains, but you could time them

Your body is starting to get ready for delivery. Be very careful of going to the bathroom when you have the urge. I have heard some horror stories of babies coming out and cracking their heads on the toilet bowl. I'm not trying to scare you but I do think you are finally ready to have your baby. Good Luck

Would you please call your doctor! You are in the first stages of dialation and labor. Do you want to have this baby alone on your living room floor? Because this is your first baby, you need to call your doctor, tell him your symptoms and get to the hospital or pay him an office visit so he can examine you. Why are you causing yourself all this stress and worry? That is why we have OB/GYN doctors so that they can take care of their pregnant patients. First thing to do: CALL YOUR DOCTOR AND TELL HIM YOUR SYMPTOMS.
