Yes, but God is forgiving. Ask for his forgivenss and it will be given to you.
Andrew: She can read the Bible which is God's word. It doesn't have to be directly spoken.

I assume you are referring to Jesus' words in Matthew 12:30-36. You should take the word seriously, but also pay attention to the POINT Jesus is making there.
The point about the "careless" word is not so much about some sort of 'running tape' of every second of our speech, much less about God playing "gotcha". The immediate context is about those who bad-mouthed Jesus and his works (attributing the work of God's Spirit to the devil) and about words revealing the thoughts and desires of one's HEART (as bad fruit demonstrating that "the tree is bad")
The passage does fit in with others that emphasize the importance of the words we speak to others -- esp in the power of our words to hurt or harm (compare Ephesians 4-5 and James 3). So we should not be careless or flippant (which is NOT to say we can't joke or be silly...that's not at all the point).
One other clarification -- "word" here is probably more in the sense of "utterance". That is, not the individual word you chose within a sentence, but the content of what you said (usually using a whole sentence or more).

I don't believe in God. However, I do believe that every person has the right to believe in whatever they wish to and to that end, I would say.... Wouldn't it take an awfully long time for God to get through a person's every word? Surely, if God was the omnipresent being that most believers imagine she is, she would already have heard your every word and be able to make a spot decision on where you were going? (up or down!)

No.
And you dont know what Gods word is unless he has spoken directly to you. Otherwise, you only have other peoples claim as to what Gods word is, and thats not good enough.
