The entire concept is silly. Tomorrow u may hear cricket with 5 stumps. 20/20 is nothing more than a movie u see to day & forget tomorrow. All the skills, charm & excitements are gone. Match fixing & then 20/20, I think it is a calculated way of making the game obsolate. Even to day u remember veterans like Bradmen, Sobers, Gavaskar, etc.. This is proof that they had some grand techniques of the game. In such a short time, player does get to show his worth, he has to show only his power.

Old Method:
If a bowler is bowling a no ball, the batsman has no way to decide(unless the umpire calls it immediately) whether to play defensively or freely with eyes shut... You may have watched some matches where players play dot balls in a no ball...
New Method:
In this method, you are given full right to play the "free-hit" ball without fear(unless you get run out in that ball)... It is like a penality for bowlers...
the new method has some "net" advantages over old method... It is really cool to see your favorite player hit a six in a free hit.. But, if our team has some poor bowlers, we really cant see the opposing team batting...

i think it is a good rule since the bowler will be more cautious i mean if there is no such rule he might think if he oversteps it costs him only 1 run and next ball will be valid but now since the rule is there the bowler keeps in mind that if he oversteps it will cost his team an extra ball and also the batsman has the chance of hitting a 6 since he cannot be out in any form except run out.

There are many things that are weird, and one such is the
no-ball rule and the other is bowl-out. Give me a break!
Kids who play marble can do better than what the Pak bowlers
did in the 20/20 WC.
Someone needs to explain who came up with the bowl-out
rule and what competition is that? Probably goli or it would
have better if they played gilli danda instead(when 20/20
is tied).

T20 is pure entertainment and the free hit is part of that. Besides, it'll help the bowlers become more disciplined for all versions of the game.

i think 20/20 itself is a silly game of cricket as no body gets a chance to hit century which means quite a lot to the players in his career .just to make money this guys are making fun of cricket,50/50 is good and it only should be played as one day.

No, It is interesting. But overall I feel 20-20 is bad for bowlers. May be we should not have Field restrictions in 20-20 .
