i recently downloaded spybot search & destroy because it was recommended. but every time i try to scan my computer with it, my computer shuts off mid scan.whats going on? anything i can do to fix the problem or can you recommended a spyware equal or better than spybot?

Personally I bought Webroot's Spysweeper, their product is great and well worth the money. Watch Best Buy ads because sometimes it goes on sale for $10 to $15.

is it a laptop?if so it sounds like its overheating,u need 2 create a gap between the work surface an the lap,i use 2 strips of wood being careful not 2 block vents,crude but it works,coolstands r a waste of money.
