not anytime soon. Not enough pitching in the league.

Its is possible... but not likely. Pitching will not allow it, mistakes will not allow it, and big heads will not allow it...
Also, Baseball its self will not allow it. Too much money is made when there are actual games (competition) to be played - - Sox coming back from a 3-1 to add 3 more games... look at all that cash flow. THAT's BASEBALL AT ITS FINEST. If a team goes 11-0 in the post season it will be unbelievably remarkable and baseball will be out of money on at least 3-5 games that were not played.

The chances are once in every 2^11 years.
Assuming a team has about a 50-50 chance in every game or slightly more if it's a great team, the feat will occur about once every 2000+ years on average.
Then again, a team can be expected to go 11-1 about once every 340 years and it was done twice in 7 years.

No, however the Cincinnati Reds in 1974 did bypass 3-0 opposed to the Phillies interior the NLCS and then 4-0 opposed to the Yankees interior the international sequence. they are the only crew to my awareness that has long previous undefeated interior the placed up season.

No. Baseball isn't built like that. There are so many variables to the game of baseball that going 11-0 in the playoffs is nearly impossible.

If so, it had better happen soon. The CBA comes up for renewal after 2011 and there's a good chance MLB will want to expand the Division Series to best-four-of-seven.

technically anything is possible. In the NFL, the Miami Dolphins went undefeated in 1972 and no one ever thought it would be duplicated but the possibility of Indy or New England doing it this year does exist.
