She finds this out as her Mom is dying, Ends up going to Italy finds her Dad and all. She ends up staying in the Appalachian Coal town, she marries this guy she never expected to. I think the word "moon" is in the title of one of the books. It was a series. They had a daughter, the whole family goes to Italy in one book, she almost has an affair, ends up not. She owned a drug store. Anyone.....

Hi! The author to which you are referring is Adriana Trigiani. The first in the series was called "Big Stone Gap", followed by "Big Cherry Holler", " Milk Glass Moon", "Lucia, Lucia" and also "Rococo". They are hilarious! I may have missed one or two. The last one I read was "Lucia, Lucia". Enjoy!
