My dad found a vinyl of the best bits from the shows. OMG so funny. I think it was where Rowan Attkinson started his comedy life

yes- and i have the records too-( and I live in the USA that was shown during the heydays of british comedy being shown here in Seattle on PBS)
My favorite was a takeoff on all the uproar over monty python's Life of Brian movie- they turned it around so people were upset over the making of "Life of Python" and treating python like a religion-even revently quoting python sketches like they were Scriptures

I remember it too...it was a funny as hell spoof of the BBC's nightly "9 O'Clock News" broadcasts. It was also the inspiration for HBO's mid-Eighties spoof news show "Not Necessarily The News".

Saw the shows,got the albums,read the books.The best song was'I'm a Headbanger'.

Oh yes still got LP 'hedgehog sandwich' ahead of its time so many greats it griff rhys jones -rowan atkinson-mel smith-occasionally billy connolly where he met wife Pamela stephenson.
My fav sketch was where the rev bartholomew was arging against sex references (squeeze my nipple) oh no theres no basis for these strange breast fondling theories etc etc please pass the kleenex !!!!
