You can fix this kind of tire leak yourself if you have a source of compressed air to inflate the tire when you are finished.

Go to an auto parts store and ask for a tubeless tire repair kit. Instructions are included, but these kits have a small round file with a pointed tip, and a tool that looks like a big needle with a screwdriver handle.

Take the tire off of the car, or at least jack up the car, then remove the screw in the tire with a pair of pliers or needle nose pliers.

Then use the small file, poke it into the hole the screw made and make a hole big enough to insert the repair plug. Depending on the kit, the repair plug will look like a piece of heavy twine coated with rubber, or a short piece of rubber coated foam.

Coat the repair plug with the compound included in the kit, poke it into the hole in the tire using the needle-like tool.

Inflate the tire, and you are done. The kits come with instructions. Look for quality when you buy the kit. With cheap kits, the tools bend or break.

This is the same procedure that is used if you take it to a garage and have them repair it for you.

Yes, but why? You can get a patch kit or a plug kit. For a patch, you will need to dismount the tire (take it off the rim) which requires special tools. To plug the tire is fairly easily done but you need air. For what you spend on the kits or to go buy air if you don't have a compressor, you could just pay someone to get it fixed right.
If you have a compressor and want to plug your tires, you can fix them on the car. It's just up to what you want to do.
There is a liquid you can put in the tire to seal small punctures. It works but it's not meant to be a permanent fix. Eventually the screw will wear down and come out or go on inside the tire and you will have a bigger hole. The sealer is called "Tire Sealr" and made by Berryman chemical co. It's good stuff and works great for lawnmowers, tillers, wheelbarrows etc that get small thorn holes or rims that don't seal.

Go to an auto parts store and buy a tubeless tire repair kit. You will get rubber plugs, cement, and a tool that looks something like a screwdriver with a slot in it.

The directions are included. You will also need an air compressor or you'll have to take the tire off and after it is repaired, take it to a gas station and fill it with air.

good luck.

Any Discount Tire store I've ever been to will repair this for free if you bring them the loose tire. They will likely charge you if they have to put your car on the lift.

YMMV.

you can still repair tires, but only if the nail is in the tread. I dont recommond repairing tires because people are stupid and abuse their cars and tires. it would be best to get a new tire and be safe
