I’m assuming you meant 1 and 3/4 instead of 13/4, and that these are two seperate problems instead of one problem.

First, make the denominator the same:
5/6 = 10/12
1 3/4 = 7/4 = 21/12
1/2 = 6/12

Then, add them together
10/12 + 21/12 + 6/12 = 37/12

Last, divide by 3, which is the same as multiplying by 1/3
37/12 * 1/3 = 37/36 or 1 1/36

Repeat for the next three:
3/4 = 6/8
3 = 24/8
1/8 = 1/8

Then, add them together
31/8

Last, divide by 3, which is the same as multiplying by 1/3
31/24 or 1 7/24

If it is all 6 fractions:

5/6 = 20/24
1 3/4 = 42/24
1/2 = 12/24
3/4 = 18/24
3 = 72/24
1/8 = 3/24

add up all the fractions: 5/6 + 13/4(which is actually 3 1/4) + 1/2 + 3/4 + 3 + 1/8. Then divide by how many numbers you are averaging. Whatever number you come up with, divide that number by 6.

(5/6+13/4+1/2+3/4+3/1+1/8)/6.... that's your average...

you need to get the LCD, which in this case is 24, since all the denominators have 24 as a common multiple. Notice, I wrote 3 as 3/1 which is the same thing.

then, multiply each fraction (both top and top of the fraction) by the # need to get the the den = to 24.

For example, you'll mult (4/4)(5/6) to make it 20/24.

so you'll have :
(20/24+78/24+12/24+18/24+72/24+3/24)/6..

now, you add the fractions since they all have a common den. and you'll get (203/24)/6...

to simplify the complex fraction, you can multiply 24 and 6 to get one whole den. of 144.

so you'll have 203/144 or in other words 1.409722.

First you have to make sure the denominators are all the same by seeing what number they each go into which is 48.

Make 48 the denominator for all of them. 5/6= 40/48. You had to multiply the denominator by 8 to get 48 so you also have to multiply the numerator by 8. Do the same for the rest and get 48.

You should have 40/48, 156/48, 24/48, 36/48, 144/48, and finally 6/48.

To find the average just add up the numerators and the denominators.

40+156+24+36+144+6= 406 (Numerator)
48X6=288 (Denominator)

Average= 406/288

You can simplify that to 203/144 by dividing by 2.

Convert them all into "over 24"

5/6 = 20/24
13/4 = 78/24
1/2 = 12/24
3/4 = 18/24
3 = 72/24
1/8 = 3/24

first of all find a common denominator so you could average them more easily

5/6=20/24
13/4=78/24
1/2=12/24
3/4=18/24
3=72/24
1/8=3/24

i think its 1 7/24 if u meant 1 3/4 and not 13/4. luck!
