The reason why you feel guilty about it is because you do hate the fact that your spouse dumped you, but that doesn't mean you wanted a miserable life for them. Yes, sometimes you may get a "kick" out of seeing her miserable, but your true conscious is telling you that you really don't want your ex-spouse to be unhappy neither.

Yeah, well, there may have been some of that going on with me, but I'm over it. Now I just feel kinda bad for my ex to be stuck in the same place he was at several years ago - but a lot of it is his own making. I'm just happy that I'm happy.

My ex hates his life. I had asked him to come back at one point, but now I'm so glad he didn't.
On the other hand, I don't want him, but I'm happy that he's not happy with anyone else. I know that's wrong and that I should hope the best for him and all that crap, but hey, his misery makes me feel satisfied.
BTW-he left me, but he ABANDONED his son. So I think he's getting less misery than he deserves actually.
And yes, I know I'm just being bitter.
And no, I don't care and I don't think I'll get over it anytime soon.

I know how you feel. Our break up was more of a mutual thing, but there was a lot of bitterness and resentment on each side. I used to delight in her misery, but after a while I stopped caring. Try not to enjoy it too much.... cuz that kinda says something about you.

I would love to get to that point in my life! I can't wait for that day. Don't feel guilty, but don't dwell on things either- just know you are a better person and this situation happened for a reason, just like mine did. Celebrate YOU!

I think what you're feeling is very normal but...if you can just start wishing that other person well, it is such a great feeling! And besides, it's good to want the best for others.

Damn straight I would enjoy it. Doesn't mean I would throw it up in their face, cause I am not going to drop to that level. Smile and dance a little!

Nope I wouldn't "enjoy" the misery I would be mature enough to have moved on...obviously you're not that mature.
