How do you feel about plea bargaining and why do you feel that way?

Plea barganing is an essential part of our legal system because the laws are structured in a way that you can find loopholes in most of the laws that are written. Plea barganing thereby serves as a way of expediting the legal process by acknowledging these loopholes w/out letting someone get away completely free of their crime.

I feel it is a necessary evil. When there isn't enough evidence to convict on a more serious violation of the law, some justice can be obtained through plea bargaining. It is often used to get someone to testify against a co-defendent to obtain enough evidence to convict someone.

I think in some cases its necessary and can save the taxpayers alot of money on lengthy costly trials

it should be illegal IMO, you are may end up getting people to plead guilty to a lesser crime that they did not commit because they are worried about being found guilty of a much more serious crime that they also did not commit

you end up with people pleading guilty for crimes which they did not commit

Its an easy way for inmates to do less time for what they could be convicted for.
