I'm driving from Jacksonville, FL to Davenport, Iowa. Does anybody have any suggestions on cool sthings to see or do along the way. I'm probably gonna stay at a hotel in Tennessee, I think that's about half way. I'm leavin' on a wednesday and planning to get there on the following friday.

Well if you drive up interstate 75 go to Atlanta, GA area and stop Warner Robbins AFB a good military plane museum is there , if of 55 route up from tallahassee area go thru Memphis TN, pyramid building dtn, Elvis 's graceland, and get good BBQ at corkies, Nashville, TN, President Polks or andy Jacksons grave ??, or Chattanoga, TN Look out mtn and has a neat aquarium, Stop by St. Louis, MO see the Arch and gamble, (art Museum / Zoo they are free) ABusch brewery (Free samples of beer), Six Flags.

If you're coming through southern Missouri or Northern Arkansas, it's getting really pretty right now. There's a lot of tourist stuff around Branson, MO and some neat stuff around Mt. View Arkansas. If you're going that way, email me and I'll give you some tips. If you go up I-55 along the Mississippi, there are some neat little river towns, or not too far to the west is Elephant Rocks State Park. It's really interesting and only takes an hour or two to see. If you go through St. Louis, be sure to visit "The HIll" neighborhood if you like Italian. Best food outside Italy. Let me know if I can help further and have a safe and happy journey. peace

The limestone hills and leave colors of Tennesee and Kentucky are nice right now. Not much else I could recommend - maybe Mammoth Cave or Fort Knox??

You've got to drive the Cherohala Sky-way.It's the most amazing road I've ever driven.Do a Yahoo search to find directions.

in memphis tn you can go to graceland. in louisville, ky there's churchill downs, and the louisville slugger museum. in ohio there's the newport aquarium. in GA there's the georgia aquarium. they have whale sharks! and little five points. that's all i can think of right now.
